Fujitsu Will Build Cloud Computing Service


Fujitsu Ltd. and Microsoft Corp. will share the data centers around the world to catch up with Google Inc. and other pioneers in providing software and computer online services, such as that quoted from the Nikkei business daily.

Microsoft to combine software customer support and customer service from Fujitsu, which operates approximately 90 data centers in 16 countries.Fujitsu will start the Microsoft cloud hosting services at the center of Tatebayashi in Gunma Prefecture this year, followed by locations in the United States, UK and Singapore, the Nikkei said without naming sources.

The partners are considering joint investments in the centers, which would cost tens of billions of yen, according to newspaper .Microsoft trying to expand cloud services around the world, having opened the large data centers in Chicago and Dublin last year, the Nikkei said . Microsoft believes that working with Fujitsu, will help keep customers from the globalization of Japanese companies.
