As we all know, Shinji Mikami, Creator from the Resident Evil series currently developing a new game with Platinum Games which will be called Vanquish which many who think this game is very similar to Gears of Wars series.
But Shinji Mikami, the creator of the game is actually saying that Third Person Shooter game he developed was not inspired by Gears of War or Halo series, the design of the Vanquish is inspired from an anime actually present in Japan in the 1970s called Casshern, which also briefly became a movie earlier in the year 2004.
Mikami also said that although the Vanquish is a shooter game, but they will also be filled with various action elements (like "punching a / kicking") that will be enough to satisfy action fans. He also revealed that the game was originally developed with the theme of "open world". But when you start the process of development they decided to make this game become more linear, and they are more focused on graphics development. Therefore they consider games to be released for PS3 and Xbox 360 in winter this year will have a fairly good graphics.
